Terms of Service

By accessing or using VantageCV — including our website at vantage-cv.com, browser extensions for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge (the "Extension"), and all related services (collectively, the "Service") — you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our Service and uninstall any installed Extensions.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

VantageCV is an AI-powered career intelligence platform that helps users optimize their resumes, detect ghost job postings, and manage their job search. Our services include:

• Resume analysis, ATS match scoring, and keyword optimization

• AI-generated improvement suggestions and resume humanization

• Ghost job detection and risk scoring

• Cover letter generation

• 7.4-second recruiter view simulation

• LinkedIn profile generation

• Skills gap analysis with learning recommendations

• Salary negotiation coaching

• Job application tracker

• Browser extension for Chrome and Edge providing ghost job detection and job saving directly from job board websites

• AI Career Agent with proactive insights (Partner tier)

• Career Coach Program for managing client portfolios (Partner tier)

To use VantageCV, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, whichever is higher)

• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws

• Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Service

By using VantageCV, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

To use VantageCV, you must create an account using Replit authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and Extension token

• All activities that occur under your account, whether through the website or Extension

• Providing accurate and complete information

• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account or Extension token

Extension Token: The browser extension connects to your VantageCV account via a unique token. You should treat this token as a password and not share it with others. If you believe your token has been compromised, you can generate a new one from the Extension settings page on vantage-cv.com.

Available Plans:

• Free Tier ($0): Core features including limited AI requests, ATS match score (top 3 keywords), ghost job detector (score and status), first 3 resume suggestion cards, quick tools, and PDF export with watermark

• Pro ($29/month — or $16.60/mo billed annually at $199/year, saving 43% | $69/quarter | $9/week Sprint): Full match score breakdown, full ghost job analysis, unlimited resume suggestions, unlimited cover letters, resume humanizer (Professional vibe), LinkedIn profile generator, 7.4-second recruiter view, interview strategy prep, PDF export without watermark, and 15 AI requests/minute

• Partner ($49/month — or $24.92/mo billed annually at $299/year, saving 49% | $119/quarter): Everything in Pro plus all 4 humanization vibes, cover letter opening rewrite, salary negotiation coach, social media tools, skills gap analysis, AI Career Agent, Career Coach Program (up to 10 clients), and 30 AI requests/minute

Free Trial: New users receive a 7-day free trial of Pro features. No credit card is required. After the trial period, your account reverts to the Free tier unless you subscribe.

Billing Terms:

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe

• Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew until cancelled

• Annual and quarterly subscriptions provide savings over monthly billing

• Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes

• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers

Cancellation and Refunds:

• You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period; you retain access until then

• No prorated refunds are provided for partial billing periods or unused portions of subscriptions

• Sprint (weekly) subscriptions may be cancelled at any time with no further charges

• Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension

By installing and using the VantageCV browser extension, you additionally agree that:

• The Extension is provided under the same terms as the rest of the Service

• The Extension requires an active internet connection to communicate with VantageCV servers

• Features available through the Extension depend on your subscription tier

• The Extension reads page content on job board websites solely to extract job posting information for ghost job detection and job saving; it does not monitor, track, or log your general browsing activity

• You are responsible for keeping the Extension updated to the latest version for security and feature improvements

• We may update the Extension periodically; updates are distributed through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons store

• The Extension may display ghost job status badges on supported job board pages to provide at-a-glance risk information

• You may uninstall the Extension at any time, which immediately stops all Extension functionality and local data collection

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws

• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights of third parties

• Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from our AI models, website, or Extension

• Use automated systems (bots, scrapers, or scripts) to access the Service without written permission

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent resume content or job data

• Share your account credentials or Extension token with others

• Interfere with, disrupt, or overload the proper functioning of the Service

• Circumvent rate limits, subscription restrictions, or access controls

• Use the Extension in a manner inconsistent with the Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Edge Add-ons store policies

• Modify, redistribute, or create derivative works based on the Extension

Violation of these terms may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account and Extension access.

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all resume content, job descriptions, and other materials you upload or input. By using our Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to process your content solely to provide our services. This license terminates when you delete your account or the relevant content.

Our Content: VantageCV, our logo, the Extension, and all software, designs, algorithms, and content created by us are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works based on our proprietary content without our prior written permission.

AI-Generated Output: Suggestions, rewrites, and other AI-generated content produced by the Service based on your input are provided for your personal use. You may use this output in your resumes, cover letters, and professional materials without restriction.

VantageCV uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions, analyses, and content. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

• AI-generated content should always be reviewed and verified before use

• We do not guarantee specific job outcomes, interview results, or employment

• Ghost job detection scores are probabilistic assessments, not definitive determinations — a high-risk score does not guarantee the posting is fake, and a low-risk score does not guarantee it is legitimate

• You are solely responsible for verifying all information in your resume and job applications

• AI suggestions are informational recommendations, not professional career advice, legal advice, or financial advice

• AI model outputs may occasionally contain errors, hallucinations, or inaccuracies

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, VantageCV and its operators, affiliates, officers, directors, employees, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, opportunities, or goodwill, arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service (including the Extension)

• Any decisions made based on AI-generated content, ghost job scores, or resume suggestions

• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your transmissions or data

• Any third-party conduct on the Service

Our total aggregate liability for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) US$100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or limitation of liability. In such jurisdictions, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the Service (including the Extension) ceases immediately

• We may delete your account data after a reasonable retention period (typically 30 days) to allow for appeals

• Any outstanding subscription payments remain due

• Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive (including Sections 8, 9, 10, 12, and 13)

You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in Settings or by contacting us. Uninstalling the Extension does not delete your VantageCV account.

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access:

• The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement

• We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues

• We do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage or service level

• Third-party services (AI processing, payment systems, browser extension stores) may also experience outages

• Your resume analysis data is stored only in your browser and may be lost if you refresh, close the browser, or experience connectivity issues

• Extension functionality depends on browser compatibility and may be affected by browser updates

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VantageCV, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service (including the Extension)

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any rights of a third party

• Any content you submit through the Service

• Your use of AI-generated content in employment applications or other professional contexts

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation for a period of at least 30 days. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.

Class Action Waiver: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, you agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action. If this waiver is found to be unenforceable, the entire arbitration provision shall be void.

Exception for EEA/UK Users: If you are a consumer in the EEA or UK, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory consumer rights, and you may bring claims in the courts of your country of residence.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page

• For significant changes, we may notify you via email or through the Service

• Changes take effect 30 days after posting for existing users, unless the changes are required by law

• Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service, cancel your subscription, and may request account deletion.

The Service may include open-source software components subject to their own license terms. A list of open-source dependencies and their licenses is available in the project repository.

The browser extension is distributed through the Chrome Web Store and Microsoft Edge Add-ons store, and its distribution is additionally subject to the respective store policies.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VantageCV regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.

Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, acts of government, internet outages, or third-party service failures.
