Terms of Service

By accessing or using VantageCV ('the Service'), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

VantageCV is an AI-powered resume optimization platform that helps users improve their resumes for Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) while maintaining a human touch. Our services include:

• Resume analysis and match scoring

• AI-generated improvement suggestions

• Resume humanization and rewriting

• Cover letter generation (premium feature)

To use VantageCV, you must:

• Be at least 16 years of age (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction)

• Have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement

• Not be prohibited from using the Service under applicable laws

• Not have been previously suspended or removed from the Service

By using VantageCV, you represent and warrant that you meet all eligibility requirements.

To use VantageCV, you must create an account using Replit authentication. You are responsible for:

• Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials

• All activities that occur under your account

• Providing accurate and complete information

• Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

Available Plans:

• Free Tier: Limited features available at no cost

• Pro (US$29/month or US$199/year): Subscription with full access to analysis, suggestions, AI rewrites, and Quick Tools

• Partner (US$49/month or US$299/year): All Pro features plus unlimited cover letters, salary coaching, and 30 AI requests/minute

Billing Terms:

• All payments are processed securely through Stripe

• Subscriptions are billed in advance and automatically renew until cancelled

• Annual subscriptions provide significant savings over monthly billing

• Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes

Cancellation and Refunds:

• You may cancel your monthly subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting us

• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period

• No refunds are provided for partial months or unused portions of subscriptions

• One-time purchases are non-refundable except as required by applicable law

• Chargebacks filed without first contacting us may result in account suspension

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose

• Upload content that infringes on intellectual property rights

• Attempt to reverse engineer or extract our AI models

• Use automated systems to access the Service without permission

• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent resume content

• Share your account credentials with others

• Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service

Your Content: You retain ownership of all resume content you upload. By using our Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide our services.

Our Content: VantageCV, our logo, and all software, designs, and content created by us are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our proprietary content without permission.

VantageCV uses artificial intelligence to generate suggestions and content. While we strive for accuracy and quality:

• AI-generated content should be reviewed before use

• We do not guarantee specific job outcomes or interview results

• You are responsible for verifying all information in your resume

• AI suggestions are recommendations, not professional career advice

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VantageCV and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or opportunities, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for any claims arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

You may terminate your account at any time by using the account deletion feature in Settings or by contacting us.

We strive to provide reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted access:

• The Service is provided 'as is' and 'as available'

• We may experience downtime for maintenance, updates, or unforeseen issues

• We do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage

• Third-party services (AI processing, payment systems) may also experience outages

• Your resume analysis data is stored only in your browser and may be lost if you refresh, close the browser, or experience connectivity issues

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless VantageCV, its operators, affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to:

• Your use of the Service

• Your violation of these Terms

• Your violation of any rights of a third party

• Any content you submit through the Service

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

Dispute Resolution: Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall first be attempted to be resolved through good-faith negotiation. If negotiation fails, disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if your claims qualify.

Class Action Waiver: You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted only on an individual basis and not in a class, consolidated, or representative action.

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we make material changes:

• We will update the 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page

• For significant changes, we may notify you via email or through the Service

• Changes take effect immediately upon posting unless otherwise stated

• Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms

If you do not agree to the modified Terms, you must stop using the Service and may request account deletion.

Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and VantageCV regarding the Service.

Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

Waiver: Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms without our prior written consent. We may assign our rights and obligations under these Terms without restriction.
