Step-by-Step Guide
Install the extension
Download the VantageCV extension from the Chrome Web Store (it also works on Microsoft Edge). Click 'Add to Chrome' and confirm. The extension icon appears in your browser toolbar.
For developers: You can also load it as an unpacked extension from chrome://extensions.
Open a job board
Navigate to LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, or ZipRecruiter. The extension automatically activates on these sites.
See ghost scores on job listings
As you browse job listings, the extension automatically adds ghost risk badges next to company names. Red badges mean high risk, yellow means moderate, and green means low risk.
Scores are fetched from VantageCV's ghost job database in real-time.
Quick-check any company
Click the extension icon in your toolbar to open the popup. Type any company name to instantly check their ghost job risk score and see community reports.
Save jobs to your tracker
Click the extension icon on any job page. The company, title, URL, and location are automatically filled in. Click 'Save Job' to add it to your VantageCV Job Tracker.
You need to be signed into VantageCV for job saving to work.
Change language
The extension supports 13 languages. Use the language dropdown in the top-right corner of the popup to switch. Your preference is saved for future sessions.
